Instructions for filling in the First and Last Name fields when submitting an online application

When filling in the First and Last Name fields, it is necessary to pay special attention to the special characters that can be found in the data. We distinguish two cases:

  1. The company was founded and registered in the APR:
    If you already have a company in Serbia that is registered in your name and is registered with them with special characters, when applying for a qualified certificate for electronic signature, enter the name identical to how it was entered in the APR.
  2. The company is not yet established and registered in the APR:
  • In the case when the name and surname are written in a special form of a letter (Cyrillic or one of the pictorial alphabets, i.e. anything other than the Latin alphabet), you will have an Englishized version of the name emphasized within the passport data and this version should be entered when filling out the online application form.

  • When data is written in Latin but there are special characters, an Englishized version of the first and last name is found in the Machined Readable Zone (MRZ).
